Obituary of Fanny Broadwaters Seawell ~ 1997

Fanny Broadwaters Seawell, 70, of the 800 block of Lesner Ave. died May 3, 
1997, in her residence after a long bout with cancer.  
A seamstress at La Vogue Ladies Shop at Military Circle, she was a native 
of Pamlico County, N.C., and a member of Colonial Heights Church of Christ.
She was a member of Ocean View Seniors 60 Plus Club and a past member of 
Women of the Moose Chapter No. 157.  
Survivors include her husband, Miles Seawell; daughter, Paula Brinson of 
Virginia Beach; granddaughter, Laura Hamill of Virginia Beach; great-
granddaughter, Haley Hamill of Virginia Beach; nephew, Tony B. Day of 
Winterville, N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and 
grandnephews.  
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn 
Cemetery by the Rev. John N. Ashenfelder. The family will receive friends 
in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 4 to 6 p.m. 
Monday.
