Obituary of Florence Ives Lewis ~ 2008

Florence Ives Lewis, 108, of Hobucken, died Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 
Britthaven of Pamlico.  
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bryant Funeral Home 
in Alliance with the Revs. Jeffrey Gaskins and Dennis Wiggs officiating. 
Burial will be in Barnett Cemetery.  
She is survived by a daughter, Syble Gaskins of New Bern; a brother, 
Herbert Lewis of Connecticut; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 
12 great-great-grandchildren.  
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lewis, her son, Hiram Lewis,
and her grandson David Lewis.  
She was a member of the Lowland Primitive Baptist Church.
