BAYBORO - Flossie S. Smith, 83, of 9390 NC Hwy. 304, died Tuesday, Oct. 
20, 2009, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
She was an active member of Mt. Olive MB Church for over 50 years. Her 
organizations included senior choir member, Fellowship Club, Women of 
Purpose, Pastor's Aide, Sunday school teacher, and treasurer of the 
Willing Workers and the Missionary Circle.
Her funeral will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Mt. Olive MB 
Church, Mesic, with the Rev. C. A. Felton, officiating. Burial will be in 
the Mesic Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her two brothers, Leo McNair of Chesapeake, Va., and 
Dale Jarvis of Boston, Mass.; and six grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the residence. Viewing will be from 
9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, at Oscar's Mortuary and at the church Saturday 
one hour prior to the service.
