Bayboro- George Graham Ireland Jr, 76, died Sunday October 29, 2000 at his 
home.
He attended Alliance Pentecostal Holiness Church until his illness prevented 
him deom attending. He attended the School for the Blind in Buckner; he was
in the Merchant Marines and was a past member of Pamlico Co Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his friend and companion, Mary Davis and her grandson, 
Tyler Stocks of the home; one son George G Ireland III of New Bern; 
three daughters, Myra Price and Geraldine Price both of Grantsboro and Shelia
Hayes of Wanchese; one brother John D Ireland of Keshana, Wi.; five sisters
Ruby Smith of Hershey, Pa. Martha Dixon of Bayboro, Jane I Hart and 
Shelby Bordeaux both of New Bern, Nancy Mason of Wilson; four grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren; and Mary Davis' children, Lynn Evans, 
Gail Scott and Julie Williams.
Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Maranatha Baptist Church in Alliance
with Rev Ron Albee officiating. Burial will be in Sandhill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 508 North 3rd Street, 
Bayboro 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
