Bridgeton- George Lenwood Ireland, 75, died Saturday, Nov 12, 2005, at Pitt
County Memorial Hospital.
He was a devoted husband, loving father and "PaPa"... truly a good man.
Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov 15 2005m at Pollock-Best Funeral
Home Chapel with the Rev Kenneth Dixon and the Rev Tommy Bennett officiating.
Burial will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lila Bennett Ireland, of the home;
one daughter Amy O'Connell and her husband Dan of New Bern; two grandsons,
Christopher and Matthew O'Connell; and one very spoiled dog, "Sugar".
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
