Obituary of Glenn Elwood Stowe Sr ~ 2007

GRANTSBORO - Glenn Elwood Stowe Sr., 75, died at 6:15 a.m., Sunday, May 21 
2007, at Britthaven of Pamlico.  
He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and uncle. Mr. Stowe was a 
veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a 
member of Silverhill Christian Church, Grantsboro-Silverhill Fire 
Department, Pamlico County Disabled Veteran’s Assoc., and Pamlico County 
Jaycees.  
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Silverhill Christian 
Church, N.C. 306 north, with the Rev. Amos Sykes officiating.  
Burial will be in Paul Cemetery, community of Silverhill.  
He is survived by his widow, JoAnn Moore Stowe; two sons, Glenn Elwood 
(Woody) Stowe Jr., and wife, Belinda, and Brent Daily Stowe; one brother, 
Clifton E. Stowe; and one granddaughter, Melissa Leigh Stowe.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamine (Ben) Stowe and Eva 
Harris Stowe; brothers, Ivey E. Stowe, and Wilbert Stowe; and sisters, 
Marie S. Spain, Merle S. Carey, Vernelle S. Spain, and Willa Mae S. Lee.  
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bryant 
Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Woody Stowe, 203 Campen 
Road, Alliance.
