Obituary of Graydon Lewis ~ 1999

Graydon Lewis, 93, died Friday, July 30, 1999. 
A native of Pamlico County, N.C., he had been a resident of Newport News 
since 1940. 
He retired as a shipfitter at Newport News Shipbuilders in 1970 and was a 
member of Hilton Baptist Church. 
Survivors include his wife, Ruth J. Lewis; three daughters, Linda L. 
Taylor of Sperryville, Patsy L. Drummond of Richmond and Margaret L. Parke 
of Chesapeake; his sister, Rebecca Paul Porter of Oriental, N.C.; and four 
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends Sunday, Aug. 1, from 3 to 4 p.m. at 
Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday 
at the funeral home. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park.
