Obituary of Hattie Fulford Hopkins ~ 1999

PAMLICO BEACH- Mrs Hattie Fulford Hopkins, 93, a resident of Pamlico Beach,
died Sunday evening January 3 at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
Graveside service was held Thursday, January 7, 2 p.m. at the Fulford
Cemetery at Tater Hole Point with Pastor Dean Fulford, Jr and the Rev Medford
Hopkins officiating.
Mrs Hopkins was a homemaker and an avid gardener. She attended Wades Point
Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of the old Pamlico Beach Free
Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons, Rubin Ray Hopkins Sr and Curnie Lee Hopkins of
Brunswick Ga and Louis Elbert Hopkins of Belhaven, daughters, Mary H Cuthrell
of Pinetown, Cora H Craddock of Belhaven and Thelma H Foster of Washington;
sisters, Catherine Epperson of Williamsburg, Va and Phrocine Bonney of Belhaven
brother, Dean Fulford Sr of Belhaven; 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren;
and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs Hopkins was preceded in death by three sons, William Decater Hopkins,
Harland Eugene Hopkins and Thomas Hopkins; daughter, Vera Hopkins; brothers,
Archie Fulford, Isiah Fulford and Robert Fulford Sr; and two grandchildren.
