ARAPAHOE - Mrs. Helen Willis Oxendine, 51, of Arapahoe, formerly of Robeson
County, died Tuesday in Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Mrs. Oxendine was a teacher at Pamlico County Junior High School for 17 
years. She was a member of Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church.
The funeral was conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Arapahoe Free Will Baptist 
Church by the Rev. Jerry English. Burial was in Paul Cemetery. 
Arrangements were handled by Bryant Funeral Home of Alliance.
Mrs. Oxendine is survived by her husband, Donald R. Oxendine of Oriental; 
two daughters, Donna O. Molina and Cathy L. Oxendine, both of Oriental; 
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Willis Sr. of Bayboro; two brothers, 
Norman Willis and Lloyd Willis Jr., both of Bayboro; and a granddaughter. 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pamlico County Rescue Squad.
