Obituary of Horace Bryan Ives II ~ 2002

BREVARD - Horace Bryan Ives, II, 79, died Monday, April 22, 2002. 
He was a native of Pamlico County and a resident of Brevard, where he was 
a member of First Baptist Church. 
He was the son of the late Horace Bryan and Elizabeth Rice Ives. He was a 
Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean War, past deacon of 
his church and a Kiwanian. Mr. Ives was a graduate of the UNC Chapel Hill 
and a sales manager for Browning Manufacturing Co. division of Emerson 
Electric. He was a beloved husband and father. 
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Kimzey Ives daughter, Margaret Eller, 
of Charlotte three sons, Horace Bryan Ives, III and H. Frasier Ives, both 
of Charlotte, and Justin Eller of Fort Myers, Fla. sister, Elizabeth Ewell,
of Greenville and seven grandchildren. 
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist 
Church with the Rev. Joe Hayes officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials 
may be made to First Baptist Church, 122 Gaston St., Brevard, NC 28712.
