Obituary of Hugh O'Brien Kinsey Sr ~ 2011

ARAPAHOE - Hugh O'Brien Kinsey Sr., 52, also known as "Papa", passed away 
peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday June 13, 2011 after a 
courageous battle with lung cancer.  
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Penny Barker Kinsey; one 
daughter, Alicia and Chase Mattox of New Bern; two sons, Justin and Mandi 
Kinsey of Bridgeton and Hugh Kinsey Jr. of the home; five grandchildren, 
Lauryn, Ryan, Morgan, Logan and Landon; two sisters, Marolyn Harris of 
Cottageville, S.C. and Carol Mills of Greenville, S.C.; and several nieces 
and nephews.  
He was the No. 1 fan of Dale Earnhardt for 10 years. After 20 years of 
being a self-employed drywall finisher, he worked at CEMC for 19 years. 
His greatest enjoyment in the last 11 years of his life was his 
grandchildren.  
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, at Z.H. Paul 
Cemetery in Arapahoe with the Rev. Tommy Bulla officiating.  
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday night, at Bryant 
Funeral Home.
