Ione Godwin Gainey, 96, of Garner, peacefully went to her eternal home on 
April 15, 2010. 
Funeral services were held April 17 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. 
Burial followed at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. 
Ione leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Linda Poole; son, Tommy 
Gainey; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also, her 
special friend, James Davis. 
Her husband, Jack Gainey, preceded her in death. 
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff of 
Heartland Hospice and Home Health Care for the special care they gave our 
loved one.
