Obituary of Irene Silverthorne Parrish ~ 2006

MERRITT - Irene Silverthorne Parrish, 80, died Monday, April 10, 2006 at 
Craven Regional Medical Center. 
She was the daughter of the late James G. and Hannah E. Cahoon Silverthorne, 
and attended Trent Free Will Baptist Church.  
She is survived by one sister, Millie Barto of Alcoa, TN, and was loved by 
many nieces and nephews. 
She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Silverthorne, Robert 
Silverthorne, Cecil Rawls, Rebert Rawls and Vernon Rawls; and her sisters, 
Vera Rawls, Daisy Jones, Marie Davenport, Nellie Pigeon and Frances 
Silverthorne. 
A memorial service was held Friday, April 14 at 11:00 am at Trent Free 
Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Graham Lane officiating. Private 
inturnment will be at Greenleaf Memorial Park. 
The family received friends at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am 
Friday, just prior to the memorial service, and other times at her 
residence at 250 N. Trent Road in Merritt.
