Obituary of James Kenneth Dudley ~ 2011

James Kenneth Dudley, 79, of 506 East 40th St. and former New Bern 
resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, at St. Joseph's Medical Center.  
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Mt. 
Calvary M.B. Church in New Bern with full military rites. 
Interment will follow at the Harper Family Cemetery in Oriental.  
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Gatlin Dudley of Patterson, N.J.; 
sons, Kenneth "Shamel" Golden of Detroit, Mich. and Jacques Dudley of 
San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Martha Dudley of Nutley, N.J.; eight 
grandchildren; one brother, William "Bro" Dudley of New Bern; and one 
sister, Louisa Vandveen of Williamsburg, Va.  
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the 
service and other times at the residence, 1708 Washington St., New Bern.  
Arrangements are by Rountree Family Mortuary and Cremation Service, 
Greenville.
