Obituary of James R. "Buster" Ganeus ~ 2009

James R. "Buster" Ganeus, 80, of 9620 Hwy. 306 S, Arapahoe, died Sunday, 
Feb. 22, at Brook Stone Living Center, Pollocksville.  
He was a native of Pamlico County and was educated in the Pamlico County 
school system. He was employed as a sandblaster at Barbour Boats for over 
30 years.  
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday March 1, 2009, at Oscar's 
Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Conrad Brethea officiating. Burial will be 
in the Ganeus family cemetery.  
He is survived by his wife, Carrie J. Ganeus of the home; one son, Charles 
Jordan of Avarado, Texas; five daughters, Jennifer G. Reece of Norfolk, Va., 
Marion Inez Richardson, Debra Jean Carmon, and Lavern Lyndell Mejias, all 
of New Bern, and Mary Lee Dillahunt of Fayetteville; 20 grandchildren; and 
16 great-grandchildren.  
Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, at 
Oscar's Mortuary.  
The family will receive friends at the residence.
