Obituary of James Oscar Green Sr ~ 2009

ORIENTAL - James Oscar Green Sr., 84, of 370 Wiggins Point Road, Oriental, 
died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at his home.  
He was a retired employee of Arant Lumber Co. He was a member of Holt's 
Chapel AME Zion Church, served on the trustee board, and was a cemetery 
sexton for the Dozier Cemetery.  
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Holt's Chapel AME Zion Church on 
Kershaw Road, Oriental, with the Rev. Shannon Sabsook officiating.  
Burial will be in the Dozier Cemetery.  
He is survived by his widow, Mary Louise Green of the home; three sons, 
James Green Jr., of Havelock, David Green of Dayton, Ohio and Larry Green 
of Oriental; two daughters, Audrey Washington and Eva Anderson, both of 
Brooklyn, N.Y.; and grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends at the residence.  
Viewing will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Oscar's Mortuary and at the 
church an hour prior to the service.
