REELSBORO - James William Hodges, 93, of Reelsboro died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 
2007, at his residence.  
He had been active with the New Bern Fire Department and Rescue.  
The funeral will at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Bryant Funeral Home chapel 
with the Rev. Seth Jones officiating.  
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Dixon Hodges; two sons, Pete Hodges of 
Reelsboro and Billy Hodges of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Sandra 
Malkin of Charlotte; four brothers, Albert Hodges of Wisconsin, Garland 
Hodges of Milwaukee, Wis., Randy Hodges of North Carolina and Linberg 
Hodges of Virginia; three sisters, Novella Barnes of Virginia, Helen 
Martikke of Chocowinity and Viola Pierce of North Carolina; 10 
grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at 
Bryant Funeral Home.
