WHORTONSVILLE - James William Arthur, 66, died Friday, March 5. A funeral 
service was held Monday, March 8, 2 pm, at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church
 where he was a member. The Rev. Owen Peele and the Rev. Nick Watson 
officiated with burial in the Church Cemetery.  
He is survived by his wife, Eva W. Arthur; one son, James Eugene Arthur of 
Reelsboro; one brother, Donald Ray Arthur of New Bern; three grandchildren;
and five great-grandchildren.
