Obituary of Jean Alice Fulton Hoffman ~ 2006

ORIENTAL, NC - On December 5, 2006 Jean lost a long and courageous battle 
for life at the age of 63.  
Born Jean Alice Fulton to Irma and Earl Fulton of Kanoza Lake, NY January 
3, 1943. 
She is survived by her devoted husband Roy H. Hoffman, by daughters Barbra 
Hoffman of Suffolk, VA and by Terri Visconti of Accord, NY and her son in 
law John Visconti. 
She is also survived by her grandchildren Jacob and Ashley Visconti, by 
sisters Margaret and Virginia and brother Roger of Upstate New York and by 
brother Ed of Houston, Texas, and by her mother Irma Fulton of Upstate New 
York. After many years in West Hurley, NY she and her husband moved to 
Oriental in 1996 and immediately became involved in numerous church and 
community activities. She will long be remembered for her warm smile, her 
determination and for her dedication to family and friends. 
As a Registered Nurse she worked in hospitals, schools, and health clinics 
for over 40 years, often dedicating her time above and beyond her job 
description. In later years she volunteered for Hope Clinic of Pamlico 
County. She was an avid embroiderer, gardener, and bird watcher. 
Her diverse interests kept her busy to the end. In lieu of flowers please 
make donations to your favorite local charity. A service to celebrate her 
life will be held at A. Carr & Sons Funeral Home Tuesday, December 12, 
2006 at 11 a.m.
