GRANTSBORO - Jessie Elizabeth Hunter Moore, 92, of 290 Keel Road, died 
Monday, March 21, 2011, at Grantsbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  
She was a lifetime resident of Pamlico County and a member of Bethel M.B. 
Church.  Her funeral will be noon, Saturday, March 26, 2011, at the New 
Bern Eastern M.B. Association Headquarters, N.C. 306 North, Grantsboro, 
with the Rev. Victor Smith as eulogist and the Rev. Tony Credle 
officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel M.B. Church Cemetery, Merritt.  
She is survived by her seven sons, Abner Lee Moore Jr. of New Bern, Mack 
Moore and Wallace Moore, both of Oriental, Charles Moore of Brockton, 
Mass., Alvin Moore of Cape May, N.J., Clifton Moore of Brockton, Mass., 
and Terry Moore of Decatur, Ga.; eight daughters, Flora Jones of Bayboro, 
Dorothy Mearidy of New Bern, Pamela Jones and Patricia Moore, both of 
Dover, Del., Linda Foreman of New Bern, Judieth Brite of Raleigh, Kathey 
Moore and Valerie Credle, both of New Bern; one brother, James Hunter of 
Hastings, Fla.; 69 grandchildren; 129 great-grandchildren; and 51 great-
great-grandchildren.  
Viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday, with the family receiving friends 
from 6 to 7 p.m. at Oscar's Mortuary and other times at the residence of 
Flora and Fountain Jones, 155 Ireland Road, Bayboro.
