ORIENTAL -  John L. McCotter, Jr., 89, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006.  
A Grantsboro native, he attended Rock of Zion Free Will Baptist Church as 
a young man and worked as an electrical engineer and had a TV repair shop 
in Raleigh in the 1950’s.  
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Oriental Cemetery with Rev. 
Graham Lane officiating.  
Surviving are one son, John L. McCotter III or Arapahoe; one sister, 
Mildred McCotter Lee of Arapahoe; and one grandson.
