BAYBORO - John Robert Ireland, Jr., 82, of Bayboro, died Sunday, November 
16, 2008, at home.
He was a member of Lowland Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann M. Ireland.
He is survived by one son, Mark S. Ireland of Stonewall; two daughters, 
Sheila Ireland Scott and husband, Larry, of Bayboro and Sylvia Ireland 
Bell and husband, Michael, of Bayboro; three sisters, Anna Happer of 
Deerfield, Fla., Jeanette Godwin of New Bern, and Otta Lee Kolt of 
Norfolk, Va.; three grandchildren, Erin Scott, Loren Bell and Joshua M. 
Bell; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 18 at Bryant 
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Norman Miller officiating. A private 
burial will follows at Concord Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the 
funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that memorial contributions be made to 
P.C. Hospice, P.O. Box 959, Bayboro, N.C. 28515.
