Obituary of Joseph Lee Ward ~ 2008

MESIC - Joseph Lee Ward, 45, of 99 Second Lane died Thursday, Sept. 25, 
2008, in an automobile accident.  
He was a native of Pitt County and was employed with Best S & G Company.  
His funeral will be held at noon Friday at Deliverance Temple Church, 
Bayboro, with the Rev. Franklin Brown and the Rev. Valencia Brown 
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.  
He is survived by his wife, Linda Gibbs Ward of the home; one son, 
Jermaine C. Gibbs of Reelsboro; three daughters, Marqueda Gibbs of 
Bridgeton and Shaniekea Gibbs and LaSheka Gibbs, both of Mesic; four 
brothers, Eddie Ward, Andrew Ward, Charlie Ward and Elijah Ward, all 
of Greenville; five sisters, Carrie Harris and Hattie Speight, both 
of Greenville, Laura Harrell of New Haven, Conn., Ann Sharpe of Belvoir, 
and Patricia Ward of Albany, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends at the residence.  
Viewing will be from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 
Thursday, at Oscar's Mortuary and at the church one hour prior to the
