ORIENTAL - Joseph Lafayette Young, 88, of Oriental died July 13 at his 
residence. 
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was a World War II veteran of the US Merchant Marine and was at sea as 
a Merchant Seaman.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Young of the home; two sons, Joseph Young 
of Oriental and Frederick Young of Staten Island, NY; one brother, Henry 
Young of Maywood, NJ; and one grandchild.
