Obituary of Julia Lewis Ross Potter ~ 2005

LOWLAND - Julia Lewis Ross Potter, 74, went to be with the Lord on 
Saturday, November 12 at Britthaven of Pamlico.  
Mrs. Potter was a member of Lowland Pentecostal Holiness Church. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Calvin Ross; a daughter, 
Verma Ross; two brothers, Dalton Lewis and Prince Lewis; and one sister, 
Libby Foreman.  
She is survived by two sons, Wesley Calvin Ross and wife, Alice, and Mark 
Anthony Ross and wife, Nancy, all of Lowland; three daughters, Peggy Ross 
of Lowland, Caressa Sawyer and husband, Charlie, and Lisa Philyaw and 
husband, John, of Bayboro; two brothers, Rev. Harold Lewis and wife, 
Frances, and Michael Lewis and wife, Vickie, all of Lowland; three sisters,
Mae Belle Carawan and husband, Charles, of Aurora, Mary Murphy and Vicky 
Paul and husband, Billy, of Alliance; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-
grandchildren.  
A funeral service has been set for Wednesday, November 16 at 2:00 pm at 
Lowland Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Terry Lewis and the Rev. 
Phillip Lewis officiating with burial in Lowland Community Cemetery.  
Friends will be received at Bryant Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 15 
from 7:00 am until 8:30 pm and other times at her home in Bayboro, 206 2nd 
Street.
