Obituary of Katie Miller Ireland ~ 2004

BAYBORO - Katie Miller Ireland, 72, of 407 South Street, Bayboro, died 
Friday, March 26 at Craven Regional Medical Center. 
She was a member of Bayboro United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern 
Star, 60-Plus Club and the Achy Breaky Dance Club.  
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Roscoe Ireland; brothers, 
L.B. Miller, Jr., Furney L. Miller and James A. Miller; and one sister, 
Elizabeth G. Hopkins.  
She is survived by one son, Lewis I. Rawls, Jr. and wife, Teresa, and 
grandsons, Wesley and Cody, all of Merritt; one daughter, Vicki I. Lewis, 
and husband, Michael, and grandsons, Kevin Lewis and wife, Kathy, and 
Dwayne Lewis, and wife, Lynn, all of Lowland; two brothers, Robert B. 
Miller and wife, Evelyn, of Bayboro and Ellie Miller and wife, Martha, of 
New Bern; two sisters, Kathleen M. Robinson of Bayboro and Clara M. DeHoog 
of Terra Ceia, NC; two sisters-in-law, Louise S. Miller of Bayboro and 
Lillian E. Miller of Merritt; two nieces and nephews.  
A funeral service was held Monday, March 29 at 2 pm at Bryant Funeral 
Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Roach officiating. 
Internment was in Greenleaf Memorial Park.  
The family received friends immediately following the service and at other 
times at the home of Kathleen Robinson, 405 South Street in Bayboro.
