Obituary of Kelvin Lionel Jones ~ 2008

Kelvin Lionel Jones, 48, of South Ozone Park, N.Y., died Sunday, Feb. 3, 
2008, at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University.  
He was a native of Pamlico County and was reared in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was 
a graduate of Boys and Girls High School and attended New York City 
College of Technology. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was 
employed in business systems development.  
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at Mt. Olive 
Missionary Baptist Church, Mesic, with the Rev. C.A. Felton and the Rev. 
Billy Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Mesic Memorial Cemetery.  
He is survived by his wife, Desiree Jones, and daughter, Kanisha Jones, 
of the home; his parents, Dennis Jones and Charity Ollison Jones of 
Mesic; and one sister, Colette Denise Rogers of Virginia Beach, Va.
The family will receive friends Saturday at the home of his parents, 8355 
N.C. Highway 304, Mesic Boulevard, Mesic community, Bayboro. Viewing will 
be at Oscar's Mortuary Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at the church 
Sunday an hour prior to the service.
