NEW BERN - Kenly Robert Ireland, Sr., 59, formerly of Lowland, died Sunday,
August 21 at his home. 
A funeral service was held Thursday, August 25, 10 am, at Bryant Funeral 
Home Chapel with Chaplain A.G. Parker officiating. Burial, with Military 
Honors, was in Sandhill Cemetery.  
He worked as a tugboat engineer, served in the US Navy and was a member of
Havelock VFW Post #7315 and Military Order of the Cooties.  
He is survived by three brothers, Curtis "Stakes" Ireland of Lowland, 
Herman Lee "Buster" Ireland, Jr. of Bayboro and Floyd Thomas Ireland of 
New Bern; one sister, Shelby Ireland Keech of Lowland; and one grandson.
