GRANTSBORO - Lamb Smith III, 67, of 635 Keystown Road, Grantsboro, died 
Sunday, March 23, 2008, at Craven Regional Medical Center.  
He was a native of Pamlico County and attended the county school system. 
He was employed as a truck driver for many years in New York.  
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008, at New Bern Eastern 
Missionary Baptist Association Headquarters, Grantsboro, with the Rev. 
Laurence Simmons officiating.  
He is survived by his father, Lamb Smith Jr. of the home; nine sons, Paul 
Smith of Long Island, N.Y., Gary Smith of Greensboro, Tony Smith and 
Pshawn Smith, both of Long Island, N.Y., Leonard Smith and Christopher 
Smith of Georgia, Kenneth Griffin of Long Island, N.Y., Lamb Boyd of New 
Bern, Jeff Smith of Long Island, N.Y.; five daughters, Denise Smith of 
Middle Island, N.Y., Shelia Smith, Karen Smith and Lisa Smith of Long 
Island, N.Y., and Deidre Smith of Virginia; three brothers, Jerry Willis 
of Alliance, Milton Davis of Bayboro and Warren Smith of New Bern; two 
sisters, Juanita Riggins and Sircora Smith, both of Grantsboro; 27 
grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends at the residence. Viewing will be from 10 
a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Oscar's Mortuary.
