Obituary of LaVonne Sims Swindell ~ 2010

LaVonne Sims Swindell, 49, of Alliance died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at home. 
LaVonne worked in the health care profession most of her life. She enjoyed 
the outdoors and loved all animals, especially her dogs, Wonton and Prince,
and her cats. 
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a loving friend to 
all. LaVonne was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sally Sims; son, Tommy McGuigan; 
and brother, Jay Sims. 
She is survived by her husband, Sammy Swindell III; her father, Tom Sims 
of Hawaii; her daughter, Amber Johnson and husband, Rollie, of New 
Wilmington, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Monica, Lacey, Deuce and 
Victoria Johnson; one brother, Johnny Sims and wife, Donna, of California; 
and sister-in-law, Joyce Sims of California. A private memorial service 
will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 28th at Maranatha Baptist Church in 
Alliance with the Reverend Jack Wolk officiating.  
The family received assistance by Bryant Funeral Home & Cremations, 
Alliance.
