COLUMBIA - Graveside services for Mrs. Leola Leon Cahoon Hart, 87, of 
Columbia, will be held at 3 P.M. Thursday, July 3, 2003, in Greenlawn 
Memorial Park, with Rev. Barry Gray officiating. 
The family will receive friends Thursday at Greenlawn Funeral Home from 2 
P.M. until the funeral hour. The family will be congregating at Mrs. 
Hart's residence. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 
1817 Gadsden Street, Columbia, SC 29201, or to the Carolina Children's 
Home, 3201 Trenholm Road, Columbia, SC 29204. Greenlawn Funeral home is in 
charge of the arrangements.  
Born September 10, 1915, in Pamlico County, N.C., she was the daughter of 
the late Jesse Robert Cahoon and Azetta Weatherington Cahoon and the widow
of Raymond Cannon Hart, Sr. At the age of 19 she became the co-owner of Le 
Anne Beauty Salon in Greenville, NC, until moving to Columbia in 1948. She 
was a member of Shandon Baptist Church, Rake and Hoe Garden Club, and the 
Women's Club of Columbia. Mrs. Hart will be sadly missed by all who knew 
her and loved her.  
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Derrick (Gene) of Columbia, and 
Susan H. Harding (Bruce) of Fountain Hills, Arizona; a son, Raymond C. Hart, 
Jr. of Columbia; two sisters, Mildred Silverthorne of Merritt, N.C., and 
Ann Donnelly Fourspring of Asheville, N.C.; a brother, Ernest R. Cahoon of 
Augusta, Georgia; four grandchildren, Leanne Rast of Columbia, Laura Monroe 
of Pleasanton, California, Jill Stasik of Chandler, Arizona and Tim 
Harding of Fountain Hills, Arizona; three great-grandchildren; nieces and 
nephews.
