NEW BERN - Lillian Edwards Miller, 78, formerly of Merritt, died Friday, 
Oct. 30, 2009, at Britthaven of New Bern.
She was a member of Trent Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" Albin Miller; a 
son, James "Al" Al-bin Miller Jr.; and a grandson, Joshua Harold Miller.
She is survived by two sons, Chris Miller and wife, Carol Ann, of Mobile, 
Ala., and Gary Miller of Merritt; two daughters, Teresa Scott and husband, 
Terry, of Grantsboro and Barbara Trull and husband, J.T., of Oriental; one 
brother, Eugene Rufus Edwards Jr. of Greenville; three grandchil-dren, 
Selena R. Scott of Grantsboro, Adrian Trull of Oriental, and Juanita Miller
of Merritt; and two great-grandchildren, Brandon Campbell and Kayla 
Campbell, both of Mobile, Ala.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 1, at Bryant Funeral
Home Chapel with the Rev. Graham Lane and the Rev. Robert Miller 
officiating. Burial will follow in Oriental Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the 
funeral home.
