Obituary of Lillian Dowdy Paul ~ 2003

RALEIGH -- Lillian Dowdy Paul, 91, of Raleigh, died January 19, 2003, 
after a long and loving life. 
Lillie was born March 13, 1911, to Etta Blythe and Charles Dowdy in 
Pamlico County, NC, and spent her adult life in Whortonsville and New 
Bern, NC. She moved to Raleigh to be with her daughter in 1999. 
She was married to Frank Paul, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1968.  
She is survived by her daughter, Kay P. Hill and her husband, Edward (Ed) 
L. of Raleigh. She also leaves her granddaughter, Nancy Hill and her 
children, Lee Tatro of Connecticut and Amy and Lindsey of Raleigh; 
granddaughter, Charlotte H. Edwards and her husband, Regge, and their 
children Allison, Emily and Cameron of Raleigh; and grandson Steve E. 
Hill and his wife, Debbie, and their children Ashley and Amanda of 
Greenville, NC.  
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2003 at 
Pollock-Best Funerals and Cremations, 2015 Neuse Blvd., New Bern, NC. 
Burial will follow at the Bethel Free Will Baptist Cemetery in 
Whortonsville.  The family will receive relatives and friends from 
12:30-1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.  
Flowers are appreciated, but memorials may be made to the American Cancer 
Society.
