MERRITT - Lissa Sawyer Spain, 41, died Sunday, December 15 at Craven 
Regional Medical Center. 
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 18, 3 pm, at Bryant 
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Blaney Rowe and the Rev. Polly Taylor 
officiating. Burial was in Sandhill Cemetery.  
She was a hairdresser and attended New Life Ministries Church and 
Stonewall United Methodist Church.  
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Spain; one son, Devan Spain of the 
home; one daughter, Dair Spain of the home; parents, Charles and Myrul 
Sawyer of New Bern; two brothers, Charles Sawyer, Jr. of Alliance and 
Michael Sawyer of Arapahoe; one sister, Pamela Hughes of Alliance; in 
laws, Jimmy and Marie Spain of Stonewall; and one brother-in-law, Derek 
Spain and wife, Stephanie Spain, of Alliance.  
The family will receive friends at Bryant Funeral Home from 6 pm to 8 pm 
on Tuesday, December 17.
