ORIENTAL - Lula Miller Davis Hodges, 98, of 231 Lovick-Lee Road, died 
Sunday, July 20, 2008, at her residence.   
She was a native of Pamlico County. She was a choir member, class leader 
and deaconess of Holt's Chapel AME Zion Church.   
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Holt's Chapel AME Zion 
Church with the Rev. J. L. Walton officiating.   
Burial will be in St. Stephen Church cemetery.   
She is survived by four daughters, Algritha Smith of the home, Mary Smith 
of Reelsboro, Emma Boomer of Garner and Christine Lovick of Oriental; two 
sons, Claude Davis of Oriental and Charlie Hodges of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 38 
grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; 43 great-great-grandchildren; and 
two great-great-great grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends at the residence.  
Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Oscar's Mortuary.
