Lula Cahoon Whealton, 97, formerly of Mesic, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 
in Virginia Beach, Va.  
She was a member of Bay Creek Christian Church.  
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Edgerton of Clinton, Judy Moret 
and Janice DeYoung, both of Chesapeake, Va.; one sister, Lila Brinson of 
New Bern; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at Bay Creek 
Christian Church cemetery, Mesic, with the Rev. Samuel Loy officiating.
