Margie Harper Tingle, 95, of 162 Bennett Tingle Road, New Bern, died Monday, 
May 12, 2008, at home.
She was a member of New Bethlehem F.W.B. Church. She was an avid gardener, 
accomplished painter and collector of elephants.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at Bryant Funeral 
Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Roach officiating. Interment to follow 
immediately in Grantsboro Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Brinson Tingle, and one 
infant son, Bobby Tingle.
She is survived by two sons, Billy Tingle and wife, Faye, of New Bern and 
Bernard Tingle and wife, Ann, of Grantsboro; two daughters, Caroline T. 
Willis and husband, Lee, of Grantsboro and Mary T. Ball and deceased 
husband, Henry, of Raleigh; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 
and three great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Bryant 
Funeral Home and other times at the home.
