GRANTSBORO - Marie Simpson Joyner, 87, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday,
August 16, 2005. 
A funeral service was held Friday, August 19 at 11:00 am at Amity Christian
Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Lynn Maxwell officiating. 
Burial was in the Church Cemetery.  
The family received friends on Thursday, August 18 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm 
at Bryant Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Jimmy and Evon 
Daniels of 6024 Neuse Road in Grantsboro.  
She is survived by three daughters, Peggy Brinson and husband Ted of 
Parkton, Dorothy Wayne and husband Glen of Olympia, Evon Daniels and 
husband Jimmy of Grantsboro; one son, Robert Earl Joyner and wife Betty of 
Clayton; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.  
The family wishes to thank Personal Health Services and all other 
caregivers.
