NEW BERN - Mary Elizabeth "Dot" Hunnings Ipock, 67, of New Bern died 
Friday, September 30. 
A funeral service was held Monday, October 3, 2 pm, at Cotten Chapel with 
the Rev. Graham Lane officiating. 
Burial was in New Bern Memorial Cemetery.  
She retired recently from Pak-A-Sak.  
She is survived by her husband, Frank Ipock; sons, Donnie Sawyer, John 
Hoke and Tom Hoke and James Sawyer, all of New Bern, Terry Sawyer of 
Salisbury, Wayne Simpson of Chicago, IL; daughters, Wanda Hoke, Francis 
Simpson, both of New Bern, and Christina Simpson of Washington, DC; 
brothers and sisters, Richard Hunnings of Kinston, Clyde "Knot" Hunnings, 
Obrion Hunnings, Barbara Tripp, Frances Ringgold and Julia Flores, all 
of New Bern; and several grandchildren.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Letha Hunnings, son 
Tony Brent Sawyer, Sr., brothers Darry Hunnings and Jimmy Ray Hunnings and 
sisters Peggy Wiley and Carolyn Dale.  
Cotten Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the Ipock family.
