Matthew Julius "Mac" Lewis Sr., 67, of A2-214 Craven Terrace, died 
Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at his residence. 
He received his education in the Pamlico County school system.  
The funeral will be at noon Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at the Rivers-Morgan 
Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tony Credle officiating. Burial will be in 
Evergreen Cemetery.  
He is survived by five sons, Matthew Lewis Jr., Leroy Lewis, Maurice 
Lewis, Michael Lewis and Eric Howard; two daughters, Laura Ann Wilson and 
Victoria Person; one brother, James Lewis; two sisters, Mary Jarvis and 
Cora Mae Lewis; 22 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends at the residence.  
Viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on 
Friday.
