Obituary of Mavis M Saulter ~ 2011

GRANTSBORO - Mavis M. Saulter, 84, went home to be with the Lord, February 
28, 2011.  
She was a charter member of Pamlico Presbyterian Church. Mavis was a 
devoted wife and mother who loved to cook, play bingo and garden.  
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Saulter Sr., one 
daughter, Martha Ann Saulter and a grandson, Randall Lee Hargett.  
Mavis is survived by her children, Charlie Saulter Jr. and wife, Linda, 
of Bridgeton, Archie Saulter and wife Linda, Ronald Saulter and wife 
Vicky, Carol Church and husband Stan, all of New Bern, Debra Harris and 
husband Alton of Reelsboro, Pamela Tripp and husband Mike of 
Whortonsville; two brothers, James Marshburn of Richlands, C.W. Marshburn 
of Smithfield; two sisters, Louise Ramsey of Beaufort, SC and Betty Hanna 
of New Bern; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and eight great-
great-grandchildren.  
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011, at Cotten Chapel 
with the Rev. Ray Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Greenleaf 
Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 
2011 at the funeral home.  
Arrangements are by Cotten Funeral Home & Crematory.
