Obituary of Melba Fulcher Wiggins ~ 2005

Mrs. Melba Fulcher Wiggins, 80, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, 
July 22, 2005.  
A graveside funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11:30 a.m. in 
Homestead Memorial Gardens by the Revs. Charlie Asby and Charles Thompson.
Mrs. Wiggins, a native of Pamlico County, lived her early childhood in 
Newport News, Va. In 1947, she moved to Craven County and for the past 16 
years had made her home in the Hudson's Crossroads community of Pitt 
County.  
For a number of years, Mrs. Wiggins taught Sunday school in the New Bern 
Church of God and was recently a member of the Greenville Church of God. 
Mrs. Wiggins loved craft work and flowers and was a very dedicated wife, 
mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and Christian.  
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Kenneth Paul Wiggins; sons, Kenneth 
Ray Wiggins and wife, Rowena, of Richland and Robert Arthur Wiggins and 
wife, Margaret, of Swansboro; daughter, Linda Roach and husband, Bobby, 
of Greenville; brother, William Fulcher and wife, Lucy, of Tarboro; 13 
grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. 
The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 7—9 tonight.
