Michael Respers, 42, of 52 School House Rd, Vandemere, died Monday July 6, 
2009 at Carolina East Medical Center.  
He was a graduate of the Pamlico County School System and was a member of 
Antioch United Church of Christ.  
The funeral service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Antioch 
United Church of Christ with the Rev. Tony Credle, Officiating. Burial 
will be in the Hudnell Cemetery.  
He is survived by his son, Lavonte' Respers of Fayetteville, NC; five 
daughters, Vanessa Cole, Bayboro, Ouayonna Jones, Durham, Brianna Jones, 
and Tunisia Jones both of Vandemere and Dorothy Respers, Alliance; his 
father, Rober Lee Jones of Atlanta; four brothers, Dexter Respers and 
Timothy Respers both of Vandemere, Ricky Respers of New Bern and Gregory 
Respers, Merritt; two sisters, Valerie Respers of Vandemere and Brenda 
Respers of Morrisville and one grandchild.   
The family will receive friends at the residence. Viewing will be at 
Oscar's Mortuary Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; Saturday from 10:00 AM to 
2:00 PM and at the church Sunday an hour prior to the service.
