Mrs. Mildred Stancil Gittings was called to rest on July 1, 2005. 
She was born to the late Thomas and Octavia Stancil on May 21, 1916 in 
Pamlico County, North Carolina. 
Her "Anatomical Remains" were donated to John Hopkins University. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Authur Gittings. 
She leaves to mourn her adored nieces and nephews from New Bern, and 
Pamlico County, North Carolina. Mrs. Josephine Stancil Simmons, Mr. George 
Primrose Stancil and Mr. William Thomas Stancil. Great nieces and nephews, 
Mrs. Vickie Davis (Claude), Mrs. Pamela S. Beatty (Starlin), Mr. Elbert L. 
Simmons, Jr. (Dorothy), Mr. Frederick Keith Simmons, Mrs. Linda Graham 
(Germaine), Mrs. Faye Bryant, Mr. George Earl Stancil, Mr. Marvin Stancil 
(Lynette), and Mr. Darnell Stancil and a host of great-great nieces and 
nephews.
