Obituary of Mildred Cahoon Silverthorn ~ 2007

WHORTONSVILLE - Mildred Cahoon Silverthorn, 87, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 
2007, at Britthaven of Pamlico. 
She was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.  
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Bethel Free Will Baptist 
Church in Whortonsville with the Rev. Owen Peele officiating. Burial will 
be in the church cemetery.  
Mrs. Silverthorn was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Silverthorn, 
and her son’s wife, Mary Silverthorn.  
She is survived by a son, David of Whortonsville; a daughter, Debbie 
Godwin and husband, Randy, of Whortonsville; one brother, Ernest Cahoon of 
Marietta, Ga.; one sister, Ann Fourspring of Hendersonville, N.C.; and two 
grandchildren, Jay Godwin and Eddie Godwin.  
The family will receive friends at the church from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday, 
just prior to the service.
