HOBUCKEN - Millie Williamson Carawan, 97, of Hobucken, died Saturday, Feb. 
2, 2008, at Gardens of Pamlico.  
She was a member of the Hobucken United Methodist Church and volunteered at
the Christian Aid Services. She also regularly visited the sick. 
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hobucken United 
Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Roach officiating. Burial will follow 
at Barnett Cemetery in Hobucken.  
She is survived by a son, Dr. Tim Carawan, and his wife, Joy, of Grantsboro; 
three grandchildren, Terri Salter and her husband, Bryan, of Reelsboro, 
Christopher Carawan and his wife, Courtney, of New Bern and Brian Carawan 
of Greenville; two great-grandchildren, Ashlynne Faith and Bryce Salter; 
and special extended family, Mae Lupton and Sue Gilgo of Hobucken.  
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bryant 
Funeral Home in Alliance.
