MARIBEL - Milton Harris Sawyer, 56, of 537 Swan Point Road, died Thursday, 
Jan. 20, 2011, at his residence.  
He was a graduate of Pamlico County High School and was employed as "The 
Handy Man."  His funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at St. 
Galilee M.B. Church with the Rev. L. A. Dillahunt officiating. The burial 
will be in the Sawyer Family Cemetery.  
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Jones Sawyer and daughter, Teruko 
Sawyer of Vandemere; five brothers, Charles Jones, James Sawyer Jr., and 
Eugene Sawyer, all of Bayboro, Alonza Sawyer of Oriental and Gregory 
Sawyer of Culpepper, Va.; three sisters, Frances Crowder of New York, 
N.Y., Mamie Sutton of Culpepper, Va. and Mary Atkinson of Stafford, Va.; 
three grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends at the residence of his niece, Simesha 
Sawyer, 511 Swan Point Road, Maribel.
