BAYBORO - Minnie Mae Cowell Spencer, 78, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at 
Britthaven of New Bern. 
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the 
Rev. David Harris and the Rev. Wayne Hargrove officiating. 
Burial will be in Cowell Cemetery in Alliance.  
She is survived by three sons, Kirby E. Spencer Jr. and wife Rhonda of New 
Bern, Robert Ray Spencer of Goose Creek and Thomas Allen Spencer of 
Bayboro; one daughter, Linda Potter and husband Larry of Bayboro; four 
brothers, Carroll A. Cowell Jr. of Oriental, Franklin Cowell of Reelsboro, 
Steve Cowell of Woodland, Wash., and Timothy Cowell of Reelsboro; three 
sisters, Gladys C. Abbott of Bayboro, Laura C. Simpson of Stonewall and 
Connie C. Lewis of Rose Hill; and five grandchildren, Larry Potter Jr., 
Rodney Potter, Adam Spencer, Nicholas Spencer and Michelle Spencer.  
The family will receive friends at Bryant Funeral Home Saturday from 10 to 
11 a.m., just prior to the funeral service, and other times at the home of 
her daughter, Linda Potter, 2147 N.C. 304, Bayboro.
