Obituary of Patricia Darlene Barrus Custer ~ 2000

Patricia Darlene Custer (nee Barrus).  "Sue" of Florence, NC died 
peacefully Sunday September 3rd at home after an extended illness. 
Sue was an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Oriental and on 
the Editorial Staff of the Moorings. She was also a member of the Oriental 
Women's Club, Eastern Carolina Women's Club, the Pamlico County 
Republican Club and Domestic Violence Taskforce.
In Haddonfield, NJ she was a member of the Haddon Fire Co#1 Ladies 
Auxiliary, Haddonfield Recreation Council, Senior Citizen Council, and 
Haddonfield Democratic Club. During her years she taught Sunday School and 
contributed articles to numerous newspapers. Sue is survived by her 
husband of 39 years, George Hugh Custer III; her daughter Charlene Custer 
Kelly, her son George Hugh Custer IV, her son in law Douglas Kelly, her 
daughter in law Kimberly Custer and two granddaughters Samantha and Jaime 
Kelly. A service will be held at 4:00pm on Tuesday September 12 at the 1st 
Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may 
be made to St. Thomas Outreach, PO Box 461, Oriental, NC 28571 or Pamlico 
County Hospice, PO Box 959, Bayboro, NJ 28515.
