REIDSVILLE - Patricia Ann Holton Green, 63, of 1475 NC 65, died Sunday, 
Dec. 20, 1998, at her residence.  
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at New Lebanon
Christian Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. 
Mrs. Green was born in Pamlico County, North Carolina. She was a retired 
Home Economics teacher with the Rockingham County School System and had 
taught part time at Rockingham Community College, after her retirement. 
In 1975, she was awarded the Teacher of the Year for the Rockingham County 
School System and was awarded The Order of the Long Leaf Pine Award, by 
the Governor James Martin, in 1987. She was a member of New Lebanon 
Christina Church, where she taught Sunday School, member of the Women's 
Circle and was the Choir Director for many years. She was a past member of 
the Reidsville Pilot Club and a sponsor for the Anchor Club. She was a 
member of Delta Kapp Gamma.   
She is survived by her husband, Frank Green of the home; daughter, Tina 
Green of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Randy Green and Amy Green of 
Browns Summit; granddaughter, Haley Green; mother, Marie Prescott Holton 
of New Bern; brother, Charles Holton and wife, Ann of New Bern; sister, 
Linda Jones and husband, Joe of New Bern; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998, 
at New Lebanon Christian Church, 521 Huffines Mill Road, Reidsville, other 
times, the family will be at the residence.
